Of cheap ideas or places to hold a wedding ceremony/reception in July in NYC/Brooklyn, hopefully the latter.

I mean we're all in NYC and are usually pretty savvy at saving some dough... usually because we don't have a choice LOL!

Ok so the tentative plans so far are that it's going to be July 8, which falls on a Thursday which may be problematic for some people, but will prob be cheaper for us (lol) but may just end up doing it on the Friday or Sunday (Sat will be way too expensive).

I'm open to any info/ideas/suggestions/whatever :) We're not doing a church wedding, so yeah. We're not really too much into the *traditional* wedding stuff....but knowing us, I guess you could tell ;) HAHAHA I mean, for crying out loud, I'm going to have pink hair (OH YES) and probably pink shoes of some sort to match ;)

Ugh, so far I've checked into using the Coney Island Sideshow as a venue but that's wayyy expensive. *big sigh* How awesome would THAT have been?

Ok, so it doesn't need to be as *bizarre* as that but ugh IDK IDK.

And the stupid mailing list isn't working for me for whatever reason :-\

Sorry if I'm not allowed to post this stuff here, Jon. Feel free to delete :)

Umm...define cheap. Because my cousin just got married and now has a pretty thorough knowledge of all Russian restaurants in Brooklyn, but before I ask her, I gotta know what to work with. (As far as I know, her wedding at Grand Palace came out to $36K, but that was a Saturday night, included after-party the following day, lots of extravagant center pieces, etc.)

whoa that's a lot of money.

Unfortunately I don't think many of my guests like Russian food. I really do appreciate it though, Irvin, you're very sweet :)
