A very special occasion is coming up next year. Something that has taken 4 long years and the help of many many people to reach.

Sometime in February or March 2010 will be our 200th Meetup!

We never would have reached this milestone without our fantastic members. So we want to hear what you want in a 200th Meetup party / event.

Here are some things we have already determined:

1. There will be cake.
2. I am working on getting / renting a chocolate fountain

Other than that everything else is up in the air! Let us know your thoughts!

We ask that you do not discuss this via the mailing list, just this forum. Both so we can track the discussion, and also to not annoy everyone else =)

Also, please, if you want to make a comment about someone's suggestion, please let it be constructive and not judgmental or hurtful.

Looking very forward to seeing what you can all come up with!

If people don't start giving ideas, it will become the first 'battle to the death' meetup. Just saying.

we can have a big party where every one who is coming can bring something (candy, cookies, food, drinks, ETC)
and we can have a live music i suggest "ministry of magic" or we can just bring CD's and games

CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!!

I've been thinking long and hard about this on the torturous subway rides home (damn MTA), and I've come up with an idea - a reenactment of the Battle fo Hogwarts!! We'll all get roles, and dress up, and act out the whole thing (with our own whacky flavor, of course!). Harry and Draco fleeing from RoR... Ron and Hermione kiss... Fred and Colin die...with our spin on it, this would be totally EPIC!!

I'm torn between Wendy's and Irvin's suggestions on this one.

This is my idea but how seriously you take it is up to you. We all get furrie costumes and go to a twilight convention and we all proceed to make sheep noises regardless oh what animal we're dressed as.

Wait those things cost a fortune, never mind my vote is for a reenactment of the battle of Hogwarts. Just like those civil war enthusiasts.
