THE GOBLET HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THE GREAT HALL! NO MORE COMPETITORS CAN ENTER!!!

SEE YOU ALL TOMORROW!

------------------------------
THE FOLLOWING OWL HAS JUST BEEN SENT:
--
The Group That Shall Not Be Named is pleased to present the digital GOBLET OF FIRE. If you wish to compete in the most intense games of athleticism and wizarding knowledge, place your name in the goblet by e-mailing:

[masked] with the subject "I am Entering The Tri-Wizard Tournament"

There is no limit to the number of witches and wizards who may place their names into the goblet. On the day of the games, the goblet will be brought forth and it will reveal which of 3 teams players will be on.

The teams of course are Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang

Please RSVP if you are competing or not, as spectators are more than welcome.
---

Come to Riverside Park and compete in series of challenges that will test your strength, your spirit, and your ridiculous amount of HP trivia memory!

On the day of the games, names will be drawn from the Goblet of Fire and the competitors will be placed into one of three teams, Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang.

There will be THREE competitions:

GAME 1: QUIDDITCH - The greatest sport in all the world!

GAME 2: Wizard Dueling! - The traditional activity of the trained Mage

Teams will select a set # of players who will duel for their teams glory (preferably anyone who did not or could not compete in the Quidditch games)

A duel consists of a random HP topic being drawn from a pile, and the players must take turns coming up with things that fit that topic. Each player has a small window of time to respond, if they do not respond, or respond with a term that does not fit the category, they lose the dual. (Don't worry, we will demonstrate before the matches begin)

The duelists will continue for several rounds trying to win points .

GAME 3: SECRET - This will be revealed when the time is right (after our mid afternoon tournament picnic =) )

---

At the end of the second game, we will break for an hour or so for a BYOB picnic.

---

Special Thanks goes to Gina Bari for coming up with this event idea =)

I have another dorky idea. Please bring your marshmallow blaster and a bag of marshmallows but remember to clean up to keep the park pristine.

    •  I had such a blast and I can't wait till next year! But I do think the sorting should be a liiiitle different next time around lol And for the wizard duel you should have different levels of difficulty so people are paired up against those of equal or similar knowledge!

BEST EVENT EVER!!! This was an absolutely fantastic event, and I couldn't believe over five hours had flown by by the end of it. I really hope this will become an annual event (though if we were to hold it more often, I'm sure no one would object). GO BEAUXBATONS!!!
    •  It was a wonderful event. I loved the chance to interact with fellow Harry Potter fans and just feel like a kid at camp again. Thanks!
