I'm a fanatic of the Harry Potter series and 'found' the fandom (and Wizard Wrock) after Deathly Hallows. I attended the 'All things evil and slytherin' party in 2007 and just fell head over heels in love with this group. Even in CA I'm a TGTSNBN'er.
Ginny maybe? She says exactly what's on her mind and posesses a fierce loyalty. She exhibits strength to protect those she loves. She has 'fire' and a bit of a temper sometimes (I can relate!). But, unlike Ginny, I'm rash and emotional- like Harry.
I was in love from the first book . But it was halfway through DH that I knew I couldn't let it all just end after the last page. I wanted to keep the HP universe alive in my world after the last word Jo wrote. Enter... 'the fandom'.
Unfair question since I LOVE them ALL. But probably Deathly Hallows, because it was really intense and emotional for me. I could actually 'feel' Harry's emotions sometimes- not identify with but FEEL them. Chap. 34 in particular- I cried and cried!
I ADORE Ron. He's hilarious... And incredibly thick at times. Which only ADDS to his lovability. He often is the underdog to those he loves but he remains loyal to them and fights for them- despite his feelings of inferiority. I admire that in him.
Gryffindor is my house and I DO behave like one! But I have my Slytherin moments (I rear my serpents head during Quidditch. Yes, I cheat a little!) ... and I sometimes secretly wish I were one (hence, sporting Slytherin ties at wizard rock shows.
I LOVE my meetup group! They're facinating, and diverse, and really, really sweet. I enjoy our activities and adventures so much that the rest of my social life I schedule AROUND my meetup groups! TGTSNBN is definately unique and I feel quite lucky to have found them.
