Announcing a new Meetup for The Group that Shall Not be Named!

What: TGTSNBN AT DISNEY WORLD! (RSVP FOR HOTEL SPACE)

Many of you know MY motto for how to run an event "Never do things half way".

If we are going to be at Infinitus, at Orlando Florida, how can we possibly miss the chance to go to Disney World!

This becomes all the more possible with the help of our member Liz Sorenson who will be reserving a block of hotel rooms for us with her Disney discount.

Now, please pay attention to ALL of the information and details in this event description.

The Hotel: We have changed our plans from the "Tree House Resort" Liz found a better hotel arrangement where ALL the people in the rooms can be registered guests. We will be staying at the Disney All Star Resort. Liz can reserve a total of 4 rooms besides her own. The rooms are suites and are allowed to hold 6 people. Here is the room description:

* Queen-size bed
* Double-size sleeper sofa
* 2 twin-size sleeper chairs
* Living room
* 2 bathrooms
* Mini-kitchen
* Vanity area with sink
* Table and chairs
* All rooms are non-smoking
* In-room wall safe
* Voice mail
* Internet access (additional fee)
* Microwave
* Iron and ironing board
* Hairdryer
* Pack 'n Play playard is available upon request
* Wheelchair-accessible rooms are available
* Views of the parking lot, courtyard or pool

The rooms cost $165/night. That's $27.50 PER PERSON PER NIGHT. For a total of $110 for 4 nights (per person). Which is outstanding.

Disney World Theme Parks: The hotel DOES NOT INCLUDE PARK ADMISSION. You will be responsible for buying your park passes on your own, but Liz will be helping us with that process as well (though she will not be able to get us discounts).

Free Disney Day with Charitable Act: As discussed at our January 7th Meetup, TGTSNBN will be participating in Project Linus to make blankets for children with cancer and other ailments. Each person who produces a blanket will be getting a free day at Disney. So when this is all completed, the pass we recommend you get, is the 3 Day pass, and then you use your free day for the 4th day.

The days/nights we will be staying at the Disney Hotel are as follows:

July 11th - Sunday
July 12th - Monday
July 13th - Tuesday
July 14th - Wednesday

If you are registered at the hotel, Disney provides a free shuttle from Orlando International to the hotel.

On Thursday morning, please note that you are on your own for travel arrangements to Universal Studios and the Infinitus Convention Hotel. If we find easy methods to get there or some group rate on buses or shuttles, we will of course let everyone know.

Additional Notes:

- I have not set a final date for RSVP's for this yet. But it will probably be less than TWO WEEKS FROM NOW.
We need to know if you want to do this ASAP. We need a solid headcount to know how many rooms are needed.

- You can bring as many guests as you like, family, friends, etc. They do not have to be members of TGTSNBN.

- After we get a headcount and know how many rooms, I will be using this Meetup event page to collect a deposit amount from everyone who RSVPed, so Liz can cover the cost of the deposits needed on the rooms. Each room reserved requires a $190 deposit. So ideally I will be asking for $32 from each person.

- If we do not have an even division of 6 for the rooms, we can reserve smaller suites, or make the decision to get the full size rooms regardless so we have space if people decide later on. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS AS A REASON TO DELAY YOUR DECISION. Once we close this RSVP and book the rooms, there is no guarantee you can get in our room block.

This event is sure to be one of the most amazing trips that any of us have been on. A full week+ of being with some of our closest friends at the most amazing theme park in the world, to be followed by the Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Infintus Convention.

Rarely do so many pieces fit together in this way. I hope as many of you as possible can join us. This should be the trip you either tell you children about, or um, hope they never find out about ;-)

If you RSVP'ed yes to the Disney hotel, please go back to the Meetup event page and make your deposit payment.

It is incredibly important that these payments are made ASAP so we can book the rooms.

Also, please note that before we book the rooms we will go over roommate details and make sure everyone is cool with who they are rooming with. That will take place Monday after we get the final RSVP tally.

So far we have 16 RSVP's, and I know of two other people who will be RSVPing. This is a fantastic # and we are going to have an awesome time.

I would love to go, but July is hot and very busy. I want to enjoy the rides so I want to go when it's not peak season.
