As our membership has grown significantly since 2008, I would like to provide our newer members information regarding one of the larger fandom projects that TGTSNBN is affiliated with.

The New York City Wizard Rock Festival (NYCWRF) is run by Stacy Pisani of the Wizard Rock band Swish and Flick (and long time Meetup member). Its staff consists almost entirely of TGTSNBN members.

In 2008 the first festival was held to a completely sold out audience and featured some of the biggest headlining bands in Wizard Rock. Some of whom traveled from as far as Toronto. 350 people wrocked out for over 9 hours.

Tomorrow the NYCWRF is going to be making a significant announcement at 10am EST. I encourage everyone to "Like" the festival on Facebook, follow it on Twitter, as well as subscribe to its YouTube channel. Please help us spread the word by retweeting announcements and promoting the festival on Facebook.

Along with being a fantastic event, the festival will also be a major piece in what is probably going to be a string of activities centered around the release of Deathly Hallows 1. This is going to make November a month of Wizards =)
