Members Jared and Katie came to me with a bold plan. A daring plan. A plan that MUST SUCCEED. They presented the plan for us to form and maintain an IQA registered Quidditch team in time to register and play in the Quidditch World Cup! The level of detail they put into the planning is fantastic and we support this idea fully. Not only will this be a team to play in the cup, but it is intended to last as long as people are willing to commit to it. Here are the details: - This will in no way affect our monthly games. We will have the same rules and such. - Anyone who wishes to join the IQA team can still play in our monthly games. They will always be open to all. - You MUST commit to regularly attending practices and scrimmages. - Jared and Katie intend to run the team as a real athletic team. They aren't going to go Marine Corp on you, in fact they will take all levels of ability into consideration, but there will be warmup's and other exercises before practices. |

The Central-Eastern Fandom Wizengamont (HP-Ohio, HP-NYC, HP-MA, HP-MI, Potterdelphia, HP-Pittsburgh organizers) have started discussing and planning a camping getaway that we hope will happen some time in May/June 2011. We have been looking into camp grounds in the West Virginia area and we are aiming heavily towards the cabins style of woodland excursion. To help our planning along, we need to know how many of our members would be interested in attending this event. PLEASE VOTE, even if your vote is no, please let us know. We need some #'s so we can figure out costs and what facilities we can contact. Also note that further updates about this might not happen for some time. This is in the very beginning stages of planning. |
